HE SPOKE
He spoke to his past.
Alas, he is clothed
In soulless tears
And lifeless sighs.
He spoke to his present.
Alas, he is clothed
In brooding fears
And teeming doubts.
He spoke to his future.
Alas, he is clothed
In a visionless soul
And a missionless goal.
